General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that the ABC soap is setting up a fierce battle. GH fans know Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) was extremely grateful to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) for calling out Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) at the custody hearing.
Nina blew Nelle’s case apart by exposing her as a lying blackmailer who was incapable of putting anything or anyone above herself.
There’s no doubt that Nina’s testimony played a huge role in Nelle’s custody loss. Of course, that also means Nina set off a terrible chain reaction – one that ended with her own daughter falling off the edge of a cliff and seemingly meeting a grim fate.
Although it’s likely that Nelle survived and will be back, let’s talk about what’ll happen in the meantime.
Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) are about to enter a cover-up together, but that secret’s bound to blow up sooner or later. The same goes for the secret of Nelle being Nina’s daughter, which may also become something Jax learns and keeps under wraps with Carly.
Once Nina realizes everything that’s gone down, you can bet she’ll rip into Carly with everything she’s got. Nina may feel like Nelle was right to view Carly as the real problem.
Jax’s idea is an awful one since it’s only going to make Carly look guiltier in the end. It’s easy to imagine Nina flying into a rage and accusing Carly of murdering her daughter!
Nina’s sure to be an emotional wreck, so she won’t be in the mood for Carly and Jax’s excuses. This might even lead Nina to vow payback. Nina might argue that she’ll avenge Nelle’s death and make Carly suffer for what she’s done.
It’s doubtful Nina will be thinking rationally at all once this dream of a daughter reunion goes up in smoke. Nelle’s offenses won’t matter as much as Carly and Jax’s at that point.
Jax will certainly get an earful as well – both for his lies and his own role in this cover-up. Nina may wonder how Jax could just leave Nelle down there to die! Nina may rant about how Nelle might’ve been saved.
Since Jax also bought Nelle’s kidney once upon a time, Nina may think all he’s ever done is make Nelle suffer. Nina’s bound to have an explosive meltdown once she learns all the dirty cover-up details – and that’ll certainly be entertaining to watch!
