The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) has been having a tough time lately. He’s still reeling from Summer Newman’s (Hunter King) decision to call off their engagement, but during the week of October 23-30, Kyle will have a plan to win Summer back.
Kyle will finagle his way into Summer’s hotel suite and set up an elaborate scenario in which he presents Summer with some important mementos chronicling their time together.
Everything will be going fairly well until Kyle happens to mention Lola Rosales’ (Sasha Calle) name. Summer will go ballistic and she’ll insist that she and Kyle are forever through, since Kyle obviously still has Lola on the brain.
That will leave Kyle feeling even more devastated than he already was, and he’ll reel from the revelation that Summer’s just not going to come around this time.
Well, maybe what Kyle really needs at this point is a fresh start with someone new, or at least a distraction from what he’s been going through. It doesn’t seem like Kyle is apt to go running back to Lola, but he might find himself in the position of encountering someone new.
Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is set to burst onto the Genoa City scene in the coming days, and she could certainly catch Kyle’s eye.
If you’re familiar with Sally’s story over on the Bold and the Beautiful, then you know that she most recently faked having a terminal illness in order to hold onto Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks), the man of her dreams.
But Sally was totally busted, and she lost Wyatt in a big way, so she’s heading to Genoa City for greener pastures. Might she run into a needy and rebound-ready Kyle once she lands?
Sally and Kyle could commiserate about their love life woes, and given their respective personalities and what they’ve each recently been through, it would make some degree of sense for them to turn to each other for support.
And if there’s an attraction there as well, Kyle and Sally could turn to each other for more than just emotional support – they could wind up in a one-night stand situation or a brief fling.
Of course, something tells us that if Kyle and Sally do get together, then it won’t take long for Summer to find out about it and use it as justification for breaking up with Kyle in the first place.
Let’s not even get started about what this would do to Lola if she were to find out that Kyle was sleeping with someone new – Lola tends to freak out when Kyle makes big steps with other people, so she’d probably be upset, too.
We’ll see what happens here, but it would be nice to see Kyle be able to open up about everything he’s been through with Summer and Lola over the past couple of years.
Maybe Sally could give him some perspective and a little bit of companionship to boot! Do you think that Kyle and Sally will find each other once Sally arrives in Genoa City?
