The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Summer Newman (Hunter King) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) have fallen mutually back in love with each other. They’ve had a true connection for years, with Kola not ending Skyle, but serving as bridge to a rebooted soul mate match.
Modest verbal gymnastics could be used to describe the current edition of Skyle. But rather than go that route, why not just tag Y&R’s couple with what it is. The nickname represents two people who care deeply for each other, share a long history, and have genuinely reconnected.
This re-pairing could be seen in simple terms. Along with that conclusion is a reasonable question. Will Summer and Kyle achieve public engagement and then have a real wedding?
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Two Pairings End Differently
It felt at least rushed to have Kyle suddenly claim that he never loved Lola, or never cared for her as much as Summer, or whatever the end of Kola actually represented.
Seasoned soap fans were right if they critiqued the manner in which Y&R chose to end Kyle and Lola Abbot’s (Sasha Calle) relationship. It could have been crafted more skillfully.
Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) dumped Summer before Kola ended. That was believable because he read Summer’s signals. She didn’t want to further their relationship, which wasn’t based on love.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Summer & Kyle’s Second Marriage Delay Builds Needed Drama
A delay has followed the end of Kyle and Lola and revival of Kyle and Summer. That makes sense, as both halves of this couple want to be sure about each other and themselves.
Skyle Part I was a total sham. Kyle was so desperate that he suggested they marry so that Summer would give a portion of her liver to Lola. King’s character took Kyle up on his offer, with an included one-year marriage trial clause.
He married Summer, Lola’s life was saved, and then Mealor’s character reneged, with that faux union ending quickly.
So, delaying a potential second Skyle wedding sequel makes sense. The audience, even including ardent fans of this couple, likely agree.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Skyle Sequel Faces One Big Threat
Summer and Kyle are getting along very well. They’re happy and with that all optimistic souls can be happy for them too.
Honesty is key to Skyle staying together. Their verbal agreement to be engaged must be followed by openness with their loved ones, most especially including Summer’s parents and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), who’ll should be supportive based on his endorsement to-date.
Lola and Theo appear to be no threat to Skyle Part Two and there are no other competing romantic interests on the current horizon, which, of course, could change. In any regard, Skyle is both its greatest champion and remains the strongest threat to sequel relationship failure.
Only Summer and Kyle can destroy Summer and Kyle’s relationship!
