The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Thursday, September 10, teases that some confessions are on the way. At Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) place, Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) pushes to find out what’s really going on with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Chelsea would rather talk about whether Chance found Adam, so Chance admits that he did.
However, Chance still needs Chelsea to tell him the whole story and trust him to act in Adam’s best interest. After Chelsea admits Adam killed AJ Montalvo and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) covered it up, Chance understands Adam’s squirrely behavior. He confesses that he found Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) with Adam, which leaves Chelsea relieved.
Chelsea explains that Sharon’s been having therapy sessions with Adam for a while now. Although Chelsea fought it at first, she’s glad Adam has someone to help him right now. Chance pushes Chelsea to go see Adam, but she fears Adam might take off for good if the pressure’s on. When Adam’s ready to come home, he knows where it is.
Chance feels like Adam is a coiled spring that’s ready to explode. Chance insists he’s not worried for himself, but he’s definitely worried about Adam – and feels Chelsea should be worried, too.
Meanwhile, Sharon arrives at Adam’s motel room with an apology and an offer to help. Since Sharon has no control over what happens to her, she wants the choice to help Adam and begs him to let her.
Adam doesn’t think he can be fixed, but Sharon argues that no one’s beyond saving. Sharon ultimately admits that her breast cancer has spread and she needs more treatment. Adam’s supportive and notes that they understand each other. He wants Sharon to take it easy and let him be there for her.
Sharon figured she could handle whatever her doctor threw at her, but she’s clearly having a rough time. Being with Adam helps as Sharon leans into him in a close moment. Sharon eventually gets some rest on the bed and drifts off to sleep, so Adam leaves a note about going to get some food.
Later, Chelsea knocks on Adam’s door and understands if he doesn’t want to open it. Chelsea just wants Adam to hear her out. Sharon’s alone inside looking nervous and feeling trapped!
At the ranch, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) updates Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) on Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) coming back around seeking revenge. Victor’s now battling some regrets about telling Adam the truth, but Nikki isn’t on board with Victor punishing himself.
After Nikki rants about Adam forcing the truth out of Victor, she brings up the evil medication switch. Victor doesn’t think Nikki would judge Adam in the same way if he were her own flesh and blood.
Nikki wishes she were wrong about Adam, but she knows she isn’t. Victor feels like time can’t be turned back now. Adam hates his father, so Victor has no idea what that means for them moving forward.
At Crimson Lights, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) gets updates from Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) about Sharon’s surgery not removing all the cancer. Now that it’s spread, Sharon needs more treatment.
Mariah doesn’t get why Rey isn’t with Sharon. Although Sharon told Rey she needed to clear her head, he suspects she’s actually with Adam and needs Mariah to stop him from doing something he’ll regret.
Mariah gives Rey a pep talk and thinks Sharon may not have even seen Adam since she got back from the Kansas trip. Rey notes that Sharon’s lost hope and he wants to be the guy she turns to.
Mariah’s certain of Sharon’s love for Rey and promises her mom wouldn’t put their relationship in jeopardy. She doesn’t think Adam would jeopardize his own family either.
Later, Mariah texts Sharon trying to find out where she is. She frets about Sharon in Thursday’s Y&R episode and hopes her mom’s not off doing something stupid.
At Newman Enterprises, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) drops by to see Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). They catch up on their private lives before Nick wonders if Victoria’s made peace with Victor yet.
Victoria admits she hasn’t made peace and complains about everything she’s endured. After Victoria fought her way back after her attack, Victor kicked her off the throne and caved to Adam’s demands. Victoria feels like Adam and Victor never face consequences, so Nick senses that she has some in mind.
Nick tries to score the details of Victoria’s plan, but she refuses to divulge them. This is Victoria’s act of independence, but Nick will be the first to know if anything happens. As Nick heads for the exit on Thursday’s Young and the Restless episode, he warns Victoria to be careful.
