The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, August 19, tease that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will confront Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) about this whole therapy idea. In Tuesday’s Y&R episode, Chelsea shuts down Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) plan to get help from Sharon. Chelsea objects to Sharon’s involvement and doesn’t think Adam should retrieve his memories at all.
On Wednesday, Chelsea will unload those same concerns on Sharon. Despite already nixing the idea, Chelsea will still want to give Sharon a piece of her mind.
Perhaps Chelsea will feel like Sharon should’ve turned Adam away from the start. Chelsea may argue that Sharon should be advising against this pursuit of Adam’s horrible memories.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea will want answers, so she’ll probably demand to know why Sharon’s so invested in helping Adam. Chelsea may assume this is about more than just Adam’s trauma. Of course, Sharon will remind Chelsea that Adam came to her – not the other way around.
Sharon’s just trying to navigate this as best as she can and do what’s right for Adam. However, Chelsea may argue that she can take it from here. As Adam’s fiancée, Chelsea feels like she knows what Adam needs better than anyone else.
Adam and Sharon’s therapy sessions are bound to happen anyway, so it seems Adam will go against Chelsea’s decision sooner or later.
In the meantime, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will talk to Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) about the Newman on Newman war that’s brewing.
Since Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) set to team up with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and make a move Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) disapproves of, Amanda will sense that big trouble’s brewing.
Victoria’s taking a real risk here – and Billy will think Amanda needs to be a risktaker, too. There’ll be some challenge that Billy encourages Amanda to tackle, so Amanda will likely accept Billy’s advice.
As for Victoria, she’ll look forward to making Adam and the rest of the Newmans squirm at a press conference. Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will also make it clear that she isn’t on board.
Despite Nikki’s attempts to shut down Victoria’s plans, her daughter’s mind will be made up. Victoria will soon make a big announcement about her alliance with Jack, which should involve a partnership with Jabot, too. Victoria will rile Victor up with her latest decision along with her lingering threat of exposing Adam.
Although it doesn’t look like Victoria will go public with Adam’s deadly childhood secret right now, she’ll definitely be holding that over her brother. It’s a matter of when Victoria will drop the bomb – not if! We’ll keep you posted as other Y&R news and updates emerge.
