General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Dallas Kirby’s (Laurine Price) name has us wondering: Could Dallas and Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) be siblings? Does Shiloh Archer’s (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) fixer have another link to Port Charles?
It’s something worth considering, especially after an intriguing comment that Dallas made in the October 4 episode. D
allas and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) did plenty of flirting during their initial chat at that Monte Carlo casino.
Dante expressed surprise over Dallas being a woman and inquired about the reason for her name.
Dallas shrugged that Austin was taken, so there are a couple of options to mull over. One is that GH writers were just choosing to include a funny throwaway line since they already had Austin on canvas.
However, Dallas is still a pretty unusual name choice. The writers still could’ve gone with a traditionally masculine name that didn’t have any Texas connotations – like Bradley, Logan or something along those lines.
Why pick Dallas? Could there be more to that Austin comment than just humor?
That brings us to option number two, which is that it could indeed be a hint about a Port Charles connection.
What if Austin is Dallas’ older brother – meaning the name Austin was taken when it came time for Dallas’ parents to name her?
Austin is the son of Charity Gatlin (Gloria Carlin) and Jimmy Lee Holt (Steve Bond), but fans didn’t know about his existence until earlier this year.
Austin could easily have a sister – whether it be a half sibling or a whole one – who perhaps sought a more exciting life away from boring Pautauk.
It’s common for GH writers to introduce a character in a fun way like this and then divulge more information about him or her later.
Mysteries tend to unravel and come with surprising revelations, so it’d be interesting if there’s more to Dallas than just being Shiloh’s former fixer.
Dallas certainly looks like she could be Austin’s sibling if that’s the way the writing team wants to take things. She seems to have tons of money and perhaps isn’t interested in going after her paltry piece of the Quartermaine pie.
On the other hand, Dallas could be Charity’s daughter by another man entirely.
Whatever the case, there’s the potential for a Dallas and Austin connection here.
