General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) may trick Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) with a fake surrender to love. Obrecht might lower her kidnapper’s guard for her big escape, so let’s talk about how all this could play out.
Liesl was confused when she first woke up in captivity, but horror and outrage soon followed. Victor eventually revealed he was behind the trap that lured Liesl into his fancy lair and led to Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) getting thrown out of a plan.
Since obsessed Victor was willing to go to such great lengths to get what he wanted, perhaps Liesl should use his fixation to her advantage.
Obrecht’s living in pretty nice conditions since Victor’s got plenty of money to throw around, but she was right to point out that a gilded cage is still a cage!
Liesl obviously wants to get out of there sooner rather than later, but how can she when there are vigilant guards and an infatuated Victor watching her every move?
Maybe the best thing Liesl can do here is pretend to give Victor what he wants.
Liesl knows how to put on a show and is a rather over the top kind of character anyway. This is Obrecht’s chance to give the performance of a lifetime and carry out a charade to make Victor think he’s irresistible to her.
Victor wants Liesl to forget about Scott, so she can pretend she indeed has and act like Victor’s the only man for her.
Once Liesl convinces Victor, he’ll be more inclined to let her roam a bit more freely.
GH fans will recall how Liesl duped Dr. Warren Kirk (Jamison Jones) in a similar way before his untimely passing, so this is certainly part of her skillset.
The show can take that route here and let Liesl comically pretend her captor was right to do all this – that she’s impressed by Victor, the man of her dreams.
Could that make Victor drop his guard long enough for Liesl to gain the upper hand and make a quick getaway?
