General Hospital Spoilers: Tuesday, February 23 – Carly’s Fed Interrogation – Obrecht Hunts Proof - Valentin Rats Out Peter

General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Tuesday, February 23, tease that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will get ready for an interrogation with the feds, but Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) will want to make sure Carly doesn’t pull anything crazy.

Diane has had more than enough surprises out of Carly at this point, so she’ll hope her client’s willing to do what she’s told.

Carly will assure Diane that she’s going to stick to the statement they’ve prepared. She’ll want to start with Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) as she carefully tells her side of the cliff story and explains why Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is so bent out of shape.

Of course, Diane can argue that Nina is grieving and looking for blame when there isn’t any. Carly tried to save Nelle that night, so this wasn’t a case of attempted murder. Diane’s bound to insist that Nelle’s tragic end was of her own making – as tough as that may be for Nina to accept.

Speaking of Nina, she’ll get some comfort from Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) on Tuesday’s GH episode. Maxie will do whatever she can to make Nina feel supported as she mourns for Nelle and continues to hold Carly responsible.

Nina will contend that everything she said was true – most likely meaning Carly’s a murderer who wanted Nelle gone.

Maxie may gently encourage Nina to see the situation from Carly and Jax’s perspective, but Nina isn’t going to budge on her stance. She’ll tell Maxie that Carly’s going to pay for Nelle’s death.

As for Jax, he’ll meet up with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to discuss her drinking issues as well as the trouble he created by lying with Carly. Alexis will note that Jax seems to have reservations, so we’ll see exactly what those reservations are about.

Regardless, Jax will feel torn between his devotion to Carly and his need to make things up to Nina somehow.

Naturally, Nina has no intention of taking Jax back and will refuse to listen to his excuses in the coming episodes. In the meantime, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) will insist that the proof is out there.

It’s just a matter of Obrecht doing the right digging and making sure Peter August (Wes Ramsey) goes down based on hard evidence.

Later, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) will tease about how the “sparrow has landed” at the Metro Court, so Peter may be who she’s referring to. Once Obrecht is certain of Peter’s location, that could lead to her next step in the proof hunt.

Whatever the case, it looks like Obrecht will end up sneaking in Maxie and Peter’s apartment eventually. That should present the chance for an incredibly close call!

Other General Hospital spoilers say Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) will talk to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) about the whole Nina situation. Michael and Willow will understand how hard it must’ve been for Nina to find out Nelle was her daughter, especially after Nelle was already dead.

Willow will suggest that maybe there’s a way they can help Nina and Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson), so she might think it’s time to set up Grandma Nina’s first visit.

Michael might agree that it could help ease Nina’s anger toward Carly, but something tells us Nina’s fury won’t be dying down anytime soon.

Finally, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will head over to Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) place, where he’ll admit things are as bad as they feared.

General Hospital spoilers say Valentin will put his loyalty to Anna over his loyalty to Peter, so Anna will hear all of the horrible crimes Peter confessed to in the cemetery.

Once Anna wraps her head around Valentin’s updates, she’ll have to figure out her next move. Anna will decide she’d like to hear the news of Peter’s sinister behavior straight from him. That means setting up a meeting and giving Peter the chance to come clean on his own.
