General Hospital Spoilers Update: Wednesday, August 25 – Maxie’s Crushing ‘Bailey’ Reunion – Armed Nina Backs Down

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, August 25, teases that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will have a crushing “Bailey Quartermaine” aka Louise August (Harper and Scarlett Bloom) reunion while armed Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) backs down. Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) will also call a truce, so let’s talk about what’s in store.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) will pull Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) aside to go a bit deeper with her explanation.

Willow can tell Chase was hurt over all the deception, but she didn’t know what else to do. Willow hated to break Chase’s heart, but there was always some new hurdle in the way of the truth.

Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) also feels guilty for how things played out, but he had good intentions. Of course, Chase is a grown man who didn’t need to be coddled like a toddler.

It’s understandable that Chase is angry – even angry enough to help Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) make a move against the Quartermaines.

Willow will remain upset over Chase’s revenge shot, but she’ll acknowledge the sacrifice Chase made when he faked the affair that ended their relationship.

That decision cost Chase a lot since his romance with Willow never recovered, but it also led to the “Millow” marriage and helped ensure full custody of Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson).

Chase will continue to battle complicated feelings and may stand by his decision to assist Austin.

Speaking of Austin, he’ll stand his ground as well – especially now that there’s evidence Edward Quartermaine (John Ingle) wanted Jimmy Lee Holt included in his will.

Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) won’t buy Austin’s usual spiel about wanting respect and what his father was owed.

Brook Lynn won’t think they owe Austin anything at all since the real will is the only thing that matters.

Naturally, Austin will disagree and think a judge in probate court will have to make that call.

As for Michael, will he remain outraged or soften his stance?

General Hospital spoilers say Austin will see a different side of Michael in Wednesday’s episode, so it’ll be interesting to see if that’s a more callous Michael or perhaps one who tries to understand that fair is fair.

If Edward wanted his will changed, who is Michael to stand in the way of Austin’s shares?

Over with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), he’ll have “Bailey” aka Louise with him when he shows up at the Metro Court.

Valentin will announce a new Louise case development and leave Maxie looking taken aback.

Maxie will realize any clue Valentin comes up with is going to lead to a dead end. Louise will be right there in front of Valentin without him even knowing it.

As for Maxie, she’ll wrap her head around this info that’s headed nowhere and long to be a mother to Louise.

Maxie will feel her heart break at the sight of Louise since she won’t be able to reach out and take her home where she belongs.

In Nixon Falls, Peter August (Wes Ramsey) will probably push Nina to take her hand off the gun and chill.

Peter may argue that they can reach a mutually beneficial arrangement, but Nina obviously won’t trust him.

Even so, Nina will back down for now and push Peter to spill whatever it is he wants.

What Peter wants is Maxie back, so he may seek Nina’s help with that task.

Peter will also warn Nina not to blab to anyone about this encounter or else all of Port Charles will know Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is alive – and that Nina’s been keeping that news under wraps.

In the meantime, Sonny will talk to Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) about her relationship with Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton).

Phyllis and Lenny had a special kind of love, so Sonny will admit he’d feel fortunate to share that with someone. “Mike” may hold out hope that he can draw Nina close enough to make that happen.

Back in Port Charles, “Jax” will wonder if Carly is just going to be mad at him forever.

Carly may argue that she’d have a right to be after his betrayal, but she’ll actually be ready to move past it on some level.

Although Carly certainly won’t forgive and forget, she’ll be willing to coexist peacefully since it’ll make things easier on Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy).

Carly and Jax will call a truce, so we’ll see if they can stay out of each other’s business and indeed keep the peace.

Finally, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) will break Trina Robinson’s (Sydney Mikayla) heart by acting like she’s a liar.

Trina will sport a hurt expression when Spencer calls out her deception in front of Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), so this may be about Spencer’s flirtatious behavior before Esme arrived.

GH fans witnessed Spencer flirting like crazy and making Trina think he wanted to date her.

It’s bad enough that Spencer had a secret girlfriend, but now he may act like Trina’s making up the interest he showed before.

Spencer will cause a huge setback with Trina to preserve his relationship with Esme, but that seems like a mistake he’ll come to regret down the road. As other updates become available, we’ll keep you in the loop.

General Hospital spoilers say Spencer still has some hard lessons to learn, so stay tuned.
