The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Thursday, August 19, reveals that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) did some John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) research and grew increasingly angry at the Forresters for shutting her out. Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) also told a tearful lie, so here’s how it all went down on Thursday’s B&B episode.
At the Forrester mansion, Eric Forrester (John McCook) fixed a flower arrangement and gazed at the spot where Quinn’s portrait used to be. He recalled when he first surprised Quinn with the portrait and smiled before putting his wedding band back on.
At Carter Walton’s (Lawrence Saint-Victor) loft, he worried maybe he shouldn’t have said he loved Quinn.
However, Carter wanted her to know what they shared was real. That said, Carter reminded Quinn that her marriage wasn’t over and pushed her to go be Eric’s wife again.
Carter insisted that Quinn loved Eric, but she reiterated that she loved Carter too and kissed him passionately.
After a tearful embrace, Carter somberly picked up Quinn’s portrait and headed off to deliver it to Eric. Quinn then sat down on the couch as sobbed over telling Carter goodbye.
Once Carter made it to the Forrester mansion, Eric thanked him for taking such good care of the portrait.
Carter shrugged that when Eric told him to get rid of it, he didn’t think Eric really meant it. Eric confessed that at the time he did, but it would’ve been a big mistake to toss the portrait out.
After Eric asked Carter to help him put the portrait back up, he was confused over Carter’s lack of questions regarding his change of heart.
Carter admitted he was surprised, but he knew Eric still loved Quinn.
Eric said his family was going to think he was crazy, but he knew Quinn was worthy and assumed Carter agreed since he took such good care of the portrait.
After the portrait was up again, Carter thanked Eric for giving him a second chance and for giving Quinn one as well. Eric insisted this time it was going to last.
When Quinn arrived, Eric noticed she wasn’t surprised to see Carter and asked if she knew he was going to be there.
Quinn claimed she saw Carter’s car in the driveway, so Eric explained that he asked Carter to bring the portrait over. After Quinn looked up at it, she didn’t know what to say.
Eric knew this was awkward for the three of them, but he didn’t think they could get past what happened by ignoring it. He took responsibility for his marriage mistakes and for pushing Quinn into Carter’s arms.
Eric felt they could move on now that Carter and Quinn had both proven their commitment and loyalty to him.
Quinn told Carter goodbye as he left, but Eric noticed Quinn had started to cry. Quinn acted like she was just overwhelmed in a good way and added that they were tears of joy.
Quinn assured Eric that she wouldn’t take this second chance for granted and looked pensive as they embraced.
At the cliff house, Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) was willing to keep quiet about the text exchange between Finn and Sheila if that’s what he really wanted.
Paris just wasn’t sure keeping secrets from Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) was a good idea for either of them.
When Steffy and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) arrived, Steffy wondered what was going on. Paris excused herself and headed for the exit, so Steffy was worried about her.
Finn suggested that all the drama had everyone off balance, but he assured Steffy that Paris understood the Sheila situation.
Jack Finnegan (Ted King) and Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) joined the Sheila meeting soon after.
Li was still upset over Jack leaving her in the dark on what he knew, but Jack argued that he hadn’t heard from Sheila since Finn was little and assumed he never would again.
Ridge said you can never assume anything with Sheila since as long as she’s out there, she’s a threat.
Jack knew Finn was going to be a good father and husband, so Steffy assured Jack that he already was. Now that all the wedding mayhem was over, Jack felt confident Sheila was out of their lives.
Ridge warned that if Sheila reached out at all, they needed to know about it. Steffy agreed that any form of communication was a bad idea and didn’t want Sheila anywhere near her family – especially Hayes.
Finn sat next to Steffy looking uneasy over the secret he was keeping.
Meanwhile, Sheila smiled over the emoji heart Finn had sent back to her. She told herself that her son loved her and seemed over the moon.
Sheila got online to do more Finn research and gushed over him along with Hayes Forrester Finnegan.
After further contemplation, Sheila grew agitated and refused to be kept away from HER family!
At Forrester Creations, Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) was glad Finn had Paris to open up to.
Zende felt sorry for Finn, who must have a million questions but couldn’t risk having any contact with Sheila at all.
Paris looked guilty over what she knew and was holding back.
