The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that fans are eager to see where Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) storyline with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will end up.
Adam clearly feels terrible about Chelsea’s situation and is willing to do everything in his power to help. That includes agitating Chelsea into a recovery with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) as part of her mental health team.
Adam’s heart is certainly still in the right place at this point in the story. Chelsea has been having visions and dreams of “Shadam” getting too close for comfort, but none of that’s real.
Dr. Lena Cavett (Dana Sparks) has warned about Chelsea’s psychological distress, but her fears about Sharon and Adam seem to be worse than her depression.
In fact, part of that depression is coming from the fact that Chelsea can’t vocalize her anger and concerns. Nevertheless, Chelsea has admitted that Adam’s at least saying all the right things. She obviously still loves Adam and is quite possessive of him.
Chelsea wouldn’t want to keep her enemy aka Sharon close if she didn’t view her as a threat to conquer. She’s not willing to throw in the towel and just hand Adam over despite her tough situation.
Things are going to get increasingly difficult now that Sharon will be around more often. Chelsea will inevitably have more visions of “Shadam” getting steamy, but that’ll hopefully speed her recovery along.
Y&R writers would really be trashing Adam and Chelsea’s love story if he cheated with Sharon while Chelsea was in this condition.
Perhaps having Chelsea concoct this “Shadam” affair in her mind is a sneaky way around that. We still get some good Adam and Sharon action without the character damage.
Once Chelsea recovers, will she perhaps see that there was never any real threat to her engagement? Chelsea might eventually understand that she let her mind sink to a dark place and believe the worst.
Maybe it’s even been giving Chelsea a subconscious sense of purpose – a reason to get better and get her life with Adam back on track.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say this “Chadam” storyline will bring one of two outcomes: a breakup or the beautiful wedding they’ve been hoping for. The latter seems like it’d bring some much-needed happiness at the end of Chelsea’s stroke and recovery story.
Will Adam and Chelsea finally become husband and wife down the road? Sharon got a wedding celebration with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) at the end of her cancer battle. It’s only fair for Chelsea to get some wedded bliss with Adam, too!
