In tonight’s Boston Blue episode, Detective Danny Reagan was called to Boston after his son was nearly killed in a fire. Sean Reagan works with Boson PD. He saw that a woman had been shot and he was trying to leave when he got thrown through a glass door. Now, he’s in a coma.

There’s no telling when he’d wake up. His dad flew out to be with him. He was worried and he wanted to know who was responsible. He spoke with Sean’s friend. They were together that night when they noticed the fire. They rushed in trying to help together.

Jonah Silver told Danny all about how the woman was shot at the scene. It made Danny realize that the fire was supposed to cover the murder. He went to the scene. He saw that there was one bystander acting oddly. He wasn’t looking at the police or the body they brought out.

He was looking at the window office of the woman that was murdered. The victim name was Andrea Decker. She was CEO of Image Stats. She and her company were under investigating by the District Attorney’s office because they supplied the facial software that the police used. And there was something wrong with it.

It often misidentified people of color. It was such a problem that District Attorney Silver held a press conference. That’s right the same Silver as Jonah. She was his mother and she was furious at him now that she knows he’s okay. The superintendent was also Silver.

The detective officially working the case that Danny was intruding on was also a Silver. It was one big family. It just wasn’t one big happy family. There’s tension. Anyways, the District Attorney said the case against the company remains ongoing because of their many crimes. She also threw the cops under the bus.

It wasn’t helpful with her kids all being cops. Danny got where they were coming from. His dad being New York City’s Police Commissioner has often made his work that much harder. He was constantly under the microscope. He also made it hard on Detective Siler when he went after her suspect.

The pedestrian acting oddly ran when Danny identified as a cop. Danny was pursing him and the other detective stopped him. She thought it looked suspicious that he was running. And he revealed that not only was a he a cop, but she let their best suspect get away.

Danny got to talking to Detective Lena Silver. He told her about the suspect he was pursuing. He told her that the guy also dropped something when he hopped a fence. He asked for gloves and they got evidence. Danny made a call to his dad who in turn called Lena’s sister and so yes it was them working the case together. Lena was very much by the book. Their hands were tied in the sense that they couldn’t use the facial recognition program thanks to their mother. They had to do things the old fashion way.

They eventually found their running from that morning. He wasn’t their killer. He was a corporate spy who stole from the victim weeks ago. He had no reason to kill her. He actually believed it was someone she knew that did it. He saw her arguing with someone. It was an employee she fired. All he knew of the guy she was arguing with was that he was black. Lena knew that there couldn’t be a lot of black guys working for someone like Andrea and she was right. There was just two black guys working for her.

One of them was looking for a job. He must be the one she fired. This along with his keycard being used and facial recognition was enough to get a warrant for his place. Though they used the facial recognition behind the District Attorney’s back. She didn’t want them using it. She had a point because facial rec got it wrong. They arrested Marquis Rawlins and he immediately confessed to the crime even though he was lying. He confessed because he was taking the blame for his stepson. Caleb was young. He was going to MIT for Chemistry.

Marquis didn’t want him destroying his life. Caleb only did what he did because he had two fathers who were boy destroyed by Andrea. Her facial rec ruined lives. He felt she got what was coming. It was Jonah who figured out that Marquis was lying to protect someone much younger. He saw the go bag that Marquis was packing when he was arrested. It was for a younger person. Jonah knew no thousand dollars worth of sneakers would just be thrown in the bag. And that’s how they found Caleb.

He was arrested and the holes in facial rec were now prominent in the media.

Jonah even made up for convincing Sean to go into the fire to help people. Sean came to Boston to work as a cop because there was a hiring freeze in NYC and he didn’t want his family pulling strings to get him a job. It was his father who talked him into going to Boston to be a cop there. Jonah and his family have since taken good care of Sean. They invited him to family dinner on Fridays. They were Jewish as well as black. The last part being for most of them. Superintendent Silver was white. She and Lena were technically stepsisters because Sarah’s dad married Lena’s mom.

And being Jewish didn’t stop them from visiting their grandfather at his Baptist church on Sunday. He was the patriarch and the dad was sadly killed while serving as a judge. It was a complicated family tree yet they served the city as best they could. And Danny was sticking around to help get his son back on track when he later woke up in the hospital.

THE END!
