Last we heard, 31-year-old Henry Cavill was still dating his 21-year-old, animal killing girlfriend, Marisa Gonzalo. However, the media and fan backlash that followed was swift and unrelenting, and I have a feeling that Henry faced a lot of pressure to dump his new girlfriend.
Henry was spotted departing on a flight out of LAX on January 16th, and Marisa was NOT with him. Considering that she’s accompanied him everywhere recently – including a yacht vacation with his close friends – it’s interesting to note that she’s been missing from her voracious social media postings recently. Plus, there have been no mysterious leaks of pictures of them together, so we can infer one of two things: either Henry Cavill told her to stop leaking those photos, OR they’ve broken up.
In all seriousness, it is very, VERY possible that Henry and Marisa have broken up. I mean, they were only dating for a few months, and we know Henry’s dated women for shorter than that [cough, Kaley Cuoco, cough]. If anything, only his relationship with his ex-girlfriend, Gina Carano, and his horse-racing girlfriend before that seem to have lasted. Actually, if we’re being brutally honest, only Henry’s relationship with Gina Carano never came under serious criticism from the media or fans – possibly because she wasn’t a famewhore or an animal abuser, traits that many of his ex-girlfriends seem to share.
Either way, I’m sure that Henry Cavill faced pressure from his team to break up with Marisa Gonzalo, considering the sheer amount of negative PR he was getting for the relationship.
