“The Young and the Restless” (Y&R) spoilers tease that on this week’s episodes Victor (Eric Braeden) will continue his plot to influence Dr. Gates (Alicia Coppola). She’ll soon be completely devoted to helping her new pal. Adam (Justin Hartley) derailed the plan slightly, but we all knew it would only be a minor obstacle. Victor is the master!
Adam can be crafty, but he’s got nothing on his old man.
Plus, pretty much all of Adam’s schemes backfire in some way. Y&R spoilers suggest that’s going to happen again in the near future. In fact, Adam may see two plots blow up in his face.
Once the paternity cover-up is revealed, Adam will probably face major backlash. It won’t be pleasant, but Adam can handle something like that. It’s not like Nick (Joshua Morrow) or most other Genoa City residents are particularly fond of Adam anyway.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say that what Adam needs to be worried about is Victor’s revenge. Since Adam tried to take away The Moustache’s get-out-of-jail-free card, he’s slapped a target on his back. Adam has put Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) at risk, too.
The Young and the Restless viewers know that Adam always drags Chelsea into whatever mess he creates.
Of course, Chelsea certainly didn’t help the situation by confronting Victor at the state pen. Victor warned that Chelsea and Adam would eventually miss having his protection. That’s especially true if Victor is the one they need protection from. Vic may start by sinking Chelsea’s company. Since Adam is the CEO and Chelsea’s husband, he’d be hurt as well.
In Victor’s mind, traitors don’t deserve success.
After Victor manages to make Chelsea 2.0 a laughingstock, then what? Will that truly be enough for The Moustache? He’s been deeply betrayed and he wants hardcore payback. That could mean very bad news for Adam.
We can’t forget that Justin Hartley has a starring role on an upcoming NBC series called “This Is Us.” If the show is hit, Hartley might bolt from daytime altogether. If not, Hartley may at least be headed to the backburner. Adam could end up missing, comatose or even presumed dead again if they need to explain an extended absence.
Victor would normally stop short of staging something that would injure or kill his own flesh and blood, but things are different now. Vic has never really been betrayed quite like this. His whole family has turned against him and you just never know where his desire for vengeance will lead.
Even if Victor only intends to scare Adam a little, something could go horribly wrong. Will Adam survive whatever Victor has in store? Stick with the CBS soap for updates on what the future holds for this fan favorite.
