General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that the ABC soap has some Nurses Ball classics lined up for the week of May 25-29. The show will air exciting flashback episodes from 2014 and 2015, which means Tyler Christopher (Nikolas Cassadine) is headed back to GH!
Of course, it’ll just be an onscreen return, but it’s a welcome one just the same. Marcus Coloma took over as a Nikolas recast last October, and he’s doing a great job of making the role his own. However, that doesn’t mean General Hospital fans ever forget familiar favorites!
If you’ve been missing Christopher in the role, this is your chance to see his version of Nikolas in Port Charles again. Christopher’s Nikolas will appear in some fantastic scenes that fans of the popular actor won’t want to miss. If Twitter comments are any indication, viewers certainly haven’t forgotten about Christopher’s fantastic portrayal.
“Not taking anythingggg away from Marcus…. I’m still sad we didn’t get to see Tyler do these onscreen reunions and get more of his chemistry with Maura,” one fan said after the new Nikolas’ debut. “I miss me some Tyler Christopher,” another GH watcher tweeted recently. “I really miss Tyler Christopher,” said one more fan who echoed the idea. “I hope he’s doing well.”
Will Tyler Christopher ever reprise the role of Nikolas or perhaps return to play a new character? Never say never on a soap! Anything can happen down the road, but we can enjoy the Christopher’s work in classic episodes for now.
It should be fun to take a trip down memory lane and see what made Christopher so popular in the role. Christopher’s chemistry with his costars was something special, so that should be on full display in the encore presentations ahead. We’ll pass along updates as other GH news comes in.
As for what the future holds, things are a bit up in the air. General Hospital halted production in mid-March and there’s no firm date on when the cast and crew can resume work at the studio. GH will have to re-air classics until they get things up and running again, but it sounds like they’ve picked some good ones!
