The Young and the Restless Spoilers Update: Monday, July 12 – Ashland Scares Harrison – Sally’s Jack Sunshine – Tara’s Betrayal

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, July 12, teases that Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) will scare Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) – and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will enjoy some sunshine with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) will also make a sneaky move, so let’s talk about what’s coming up in Genoa City.

At Newman Enterprises, Ashland will praise Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) as a powerhouse along with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and will be grateful for her discretion regarding the merger.

Nikki will point out that flattery won’t work on her, but Ashland will suggest he just calls it like he sees it.

After Ashland exits on Monday’s Y&R episode, Nikki will worry about Victoria getting in too deep with someone who’s dying. She’ll fear a broken heart awaits her daughter, but Victoria will act like she’s got a grip on her feelings.

Nevertheless, Victoria will end up dreaming about Ashland going to a new oncologist and surprising her by pursuing experimental treatment to get more time.

Victoria will wake up at her desk after snoozing briefly, but it’s clear she’ll wish this dream were a reality. Over with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), he’ll pick up Harrison’s toys with Tara at the Abbott mansion.

Kyle will get updates on Harrison’s pre-school and T-ball plans before assuring Tara she can stay there with Harrison as long as she likes.

As for Summer Newman (Hunter King), Kyle will confess they haven’t been in touch since she left for Italy. Tara will get Kyle to imagine what an encounter would look like a few months from now at Crimson Lights.

Tara will wonder if Kyle would give one last look back after small talk because Summer still owns a piece of his heart.

Kyle will hope he’s moved on by then, but he’ll still be trying to take things one moment at a time.

Tara will be in rebuilding mode as well since she’ll be coping with her divorce from Ashland. She’ll suggest a picnic with Harrison as a distraction, so Kyle will tell Tara to sign him up!

At Society, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will struggle to get Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) off his mind.

Sally will appear in the flesh and want to celebrate a great day at work, but she’ll understand when Jack has to bail for Harrison’s picnic instead.

However, Sally will hope she can walk along with Jack and soak up some sunshine. Jack will be fine with that, so they’ll head off to the park together.

Once Jack arrives, Harrison will be delighted to see his grandpa.

Of course, Kyle won’t be so delighted to see Sally by Jack’s side! He’ll drag Jack away to push for answers, but Jack will clarify that he’s just leaving the door open for happiness.

Jack will promise this isn’t a date and won’t think Kyle should worry about it.

Sally and Tara will quiz each other about their romantic pursuits before Tara asks for a favor. Tara will think it’d be nice to have a video of herself with Harrison, so Sally will agree to film one on her phone.

Suddenly, Ashland will arrive and create a scene since someone got the date wrong for his scheduled afternoon with Harrison.

Tara will insist Ashland’s day is tomorrow, but he’ll disagree and urge her to look at the texts she sent him.

Ashland will have a hard time breathing and will lean on something as he struggles to stand. He’ll panic and shout for someone to get Harrison away from him, so Kyle will trot the kid away before Father gets any worse.

Tara will flip out since Ashland scared the kid, but Ashland won’t think it was that bad and will just want Tara to get her dates right next time around.

It turns out Sally will capture Ashland looking like an angry, sick menace on the video Tara asked for.

After Sally shows Tara the clip, Tara will act horrified over someone seeing it and will step to the side to erase it. Since it’ll take Tara a little too long, Sally will wonder if she needs help.

Tara will actually be texting herself a copy before deleting the video – betraying Sally’s trust and leaving her none the wiser.

Tara will thank Sally for not mentioning this video to anyone as they wrap this park nightmare up.

Ashland will be in a funk when Victoria finds him at Society’s bar. He’ll try to bite her head off, but Victoria will warn that Ashland’s not going to get away with pulling that kind of garbage.

Victoria will want Ashland to confide in her instead of taking his anger out on her, so he’ll say he’s sorry and agree to open up.

At the coffeehouse, Sharon will seem taken aback when she gets a call about missing Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes).

Sharon will let Rey Rosales (Sharon Case) know that Mariah took off on a business trip nobody knew about and has been out of touch.

After Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) refuses to let Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) take Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) out of town, Chelsea will shock Sharon at Crimson Lights following her official release.

Chelsea will be there to apologize for her behavior and rant about the Newman men still controlling Connor.

Sharon will appreciate Chelsea’s willingness to reach out and try to make amends. When Sharon and Rey talk alone, he’ll side with Chelsea on the topic of Connor and how she’s at the Newmans’ mercy.

At the ranch, Victor will voice his distrust of Chelsea and Anita Lawson (Catherine Bach).

Adam won’t think Chelsea’s going to pull anything, but Victor will warn his son about not getting sentimental and setting himself up for trouble.

Adam will be surprised when Sharon calls him to the coffeehouse and urges him to let Chelsea take Connor on her trip. Sharon will think it’ll help to end this toxic dance Chelsea and Adam have been doing.

Sharon will also think it’s what’s best for Connor, so Adam will pick up the phone to see if Connor would like to visit Anita with his mother.

Later, Chelsea will meet with Adam again and get some fantastic news. Adam will explain that he changed his mind and is now allowing Connor to go on the trip.

Just as Chelsea’s thanking Adam, Victor will saunter in and shut down the plan. He’ll make it clear that Connor’s staying put despite Chelsea’s protest and Adam’s irritated look.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea will fight hard and pull off a victory in the week ahead, so Victor won’t keep the upper hand for long.
