The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that a new year’s baby for Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) could end the Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) custody battle. Maybe that’s the ticket to Amanda and Devon focusing on their own family in 2022.
Y&R fans know Amanda has been extremely supportive of Devon’s connection to Dominic. Devon appreciates having Amanda in his corner since she understands and has the legal skills to back him up.
Of course, Devon would rather work out an agreement with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) and Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) than go to court over Dominic.
Devon is holding out hope that Abby and Chance will come around, but he’ll get some disappointing news during the week of January 3-7.
Abby will let Devon know they’re sticking with the original agreement, so that’ll force Devon to raise the stakes with legal action if he wants more time with Dominic – and that’s definitely what he wants.
Devon may be ready for a courtroom war at that point, but perhaps there’s another solution here.
The show has a great New Year’s Eve montage on the January 3 episode, where Devon makes love to Amanda as they celebrate ringing in the new year.
Is there a chance Amanda and Devon conceived a baby – one who’ll deserve and get all their attention instead of Dominic in 2022?
Devon naturally feels a bond with Dominic due to their biological ties. It’s like Devon’s paternal instinct has been turned on and has nowhere else to go.
With that in mind, Y&R might put that fatherly intuition to good use and give Devon a new baby to concentrate on.
Amanda would also be a wonderful mother, so the show might as well launch her into parenthood with Devon now.
Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) was able to move on from her Dominic fixation and plans to build a family of her own with Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks), so Devon and Amanda might do the same with a new baby.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chance and Abby will need a way to make Devon back off, but maybe he could do it on his own if he has a separate family to dote on.
