The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, January 6, teases that Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) will fear Victoria Newman-Locke’s (Amelia Heinle) obsession while Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) walks into Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) trap.
For starters, Ashland will think it’s time to have a little chat about Victoria’s agenda. He may feel like Victoria is going overboard on a risky plan that won’t even bring major rewards.
Ashland might contend that Victoria is clinging to a plan that’s falling apart, especially now that she knows Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) are in the loop.
Ashland may suggest there are better projects to pursue and wonder why Victoria’s so fixated on this one.
Ashland will suspect there’s more to Victoria’s motives than she’s letting on. He may worry that Victoria is still obsessed with protecting Billy on some level.
Ashland might argue that Victoria always finds a reason to stay in Billy’s orbit beyond the normal scope of co-parenting.
Of course, Ashland might also feel like Victoria is overcompensating with Victor and Adam – like she feels the need to prove herself over and over.
Maybe Victoria needs to do a little soul-searching and see that she can be a strong, confident woman without constantly going after someone.
Instead, Victoria will likely defend her motives as being strictly about what’s best for business.
Since Ashland adores Victoria and won’t want to cause issues in his marriage, he’ll probably let it go and just “yes, dear” this discussion in the end.
As for Billy, he’ll do what Victoria wants by taking advantage of an opportunity.
Billy will see an opening to push Adam’s buttons and prey on his vulnerabilities. The plan was previously to focus on Adam’s insecurities as a father, so Billy may stick to that and act like Adam is a bad dad.
Whatever the case, Adam will walk into another trap and most likely walk away fuming. Still, it may not be enough to convince Adam to publish some big story at Newman Media.
Billy may have more work to do – and even after Billy puts in the work, Adam seems poised to turn the tables again down the road!
Finally, Y&R fans can expect Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) to hold firm on his position.
Does that mean his position with Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor’s (Rainn and River Ware) parents or with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan)?
After Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) shuts down Devon’s shared custody request on Wednesday, he tells Amanda that he doesn’t want to take Abby and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) to court.
However, Devon values Amanda’s opinion and may be talked into pursuing legal action.
That means Thursday’s spoilers about Devon sticking to his guns could go either way.
Devon might hold firm on wanting the custody agreement changes or about not wanting to take this to court. It might even be both if Devon thinks he can get what he wants without courtroom drama.
Regardless, down-the-road spoilers suggest Devon, Abby and Chance’s war is far from over. No matter what Devon decides right now, there’ll be the threat of a full-blown court battle.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Devon will remain drawn to Dominic – and Amanda will keep pushing him to go after the visitation rights she believes he’s entitled to.
