The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates for Monday, April 17, tease that Victor (Eric Braeden) will stun Abby (Melissa Ordway) by fast-tracking her promotion. He’ll announce that he’s making her the acting CEO of Newman Enterprises. Abby will be blown away by her father’s shocker. She’ll hug Victor as she expresses her gratitude.
At Reed’s (Tristan Lake Leabu) birthday party, he’ll admire his new car. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) will speak privately about Victor’s blatant disrespect. They’ll think he’s just trying to show his power. Victoria will insist she’s going to tell Reed he can’t keep the vehicle. Later, Reed will be furious when Victoria breaks the news.
Billy (Jason Thompson) will get updates on the drama and wonder what’s up. Victoria will refuse to answer Billy’s questions. She’ll argue that he needs to butt out and leave her alone. Victoria’s hurtful remarks will send Billy straight into Phyllis’ (Gina Tognoni) arms on Tuesday’s new Y&R episode, April 18.
In the meantime, The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal Cane (Daniel Goddard) will receive word of Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood) and Lily’s (Christel Khalil) next photo shoot. They’ll have to travel out of town for it and Juliet’s (Laur Allen) involvement will concern him. Cane will accuse Juliet of setting all of this up because of the Tokyo fling.
Juliet will suggest that they can’t fix their mistakes, but she’ll assure Cane that she’s not scheming. He’ll calm down and contend that they should move on with their lives. Of course, Y&R fans know that Cane can’t escape the consequences of his actions. His deception will catch up with him eventually.
In New York, Ravi (Abhi Sinha) will be peeved when Ashley (Eileen Davidson) agrees to have dinner with a businessman. Benjamin Hochman recently got a divorce and he definitely has more on his mind than corporate details. However, Benjamin’s interest in his phone will irk Ashley. The Young and the Restless spoilers say she’ll ditch him so she can catch up with Ravi, who decided to hang out with some pals.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Ravi will encourage Ashley to grab some dumplings with him. She’ll seem too dejected to enjoy the rest of the evening. Instead, Ashley will call it a night and head to her hotel room.
Back in Genoa City, Nikki will learn that Victor made Abby the acting CEO of Newman. She’ll think it’s typical of Victor to bribe his family into loving him. Nikki will also gripe about the car Victor sent Reed. She’ll feel like it was a slap in the face to Victoria. Victor realizes that Nikki, Victoria and Nick (Joshua Morrow) don’t want him connected to his grandkids.
The Young and the Restless spoilers state that Victor will whine about being shut out. Nikki will hint that Victor shouldn’t try to play the victim. He only has himself to blame.
