Cressida Bonas and Prince Harry broke up a few months ago, but Cressida is still milking that breakup for all she’s worth. Even though Harry’s the one who dumped her, Cressida’s team has been leaking report after report about how she was the one who did the dumping. The latest such report comes courtesy of the Express, which claims that Cressida felt a royal marriage would have inhibited her ambitions.
Cressida’s ‘friend’ explained, “She sees her future as an actress and she felt her ambitions would have been trampled by the royal ‘machine’. The decision not to continue with the relationship came from her, not Harry.”
Ok, Cressida, we get it. You want the whole world to think that you broke up with Harry to become an Actress. I believe that Cressida did not want to put her career on the back burner, and that probably added to her hesitation in marrying Harry. However, I think it’s obvious to everyone involved that Harry was the one who finally called it quits, either because he was tired of Cressida’s dily-dallying or because he realized that he did not want to get married just yet.
Unfortunately for him, Cressida’s already acclimating to the famewhoring aspect of becoming a Hollywood star, including using her relationships for fame. Cressida knows that right now, nobody knows her as anything other than Harry’s ex-girlfriend and almost-fiance. Thus, she’s going to use that connection for as long as possible, to land movie roles and get her face out there. She’s already landed a major Weinstein film by following that strategy, and I doubt that will be the last. And obviously, she’s not going the ‘woe is me, I got dumped route’, probably to act as though she cherished a movie career over becoming a royal.
