“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Thursday, May 21, tease that Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) will confront Avery (Jessica Collins) about her breakup with Dylan (Steve Burton). Phyllis will believe Avery should return to her life in Genoa City. Avery will make it clear that Phyllis should stay out of this. Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers reveal that Billy (Burgess Jenkins) will get into a fight with Gabriel (Justin Hartley) at Chelsea’s place. Billy will say that Connor has an earache and he picked him up from daycare. Gabe will try to get him to go, but Billy will insist that he won’t leave Connor until Chelsea gets back. Things will get heated when Billy suggests that he’s the only father Connor has ever known. Gabriel will snap back that Connor’s real father wouldn’t want Billy anywhere near his child after the way he treated Chelsea. They’ll bicker about Adam’s (Justin Hartley) role in what happened to Delia (Sophia Pollono) until Chelsea breaks them up. Chelsea will thank Billy for helping with Connor and he’ll head out. A little later, Billy will tell Ashley that Gabriel is like an avenging angel sent by Adam. Billy will think it’s odd how Gabriel keeps standing up for Adam when everyone else hates the guy.

Chelsea will tell Gabriel that he needs to stop defending her. Gabriel will mention that he took someone away that Billy loves. Chelsea will argue that Billy doesn’t love her now, but Gabe will let it slip that he’s not talking about her. Chelsea will wonder what Gabriel means. Gabe will tell Chelsea to forget it and he’ll start talking about the connection they have. Chelsea will disagree, but Gabriel will say that he doesn’t care how long it takes for her to come around. Gabe will add that Chelsea thought Adam would be the only love of her life, but he’s going to prove her wrong.
