“The Young and the Restless” (Y&R) spoilers for this week’s episodes reveal that Adam Newman (Justin Hartley) is getting increasingly desperate to clear his name and is partnering with troublesome people to ferret out the truth. But has Adam chosen poorly? Is his new ally really the perpetrator?
Let’s consider the likely suspects who could have framed Adam – read this then please vote in the Y&R poll.
#1 Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)
Victor is the person that everyone assumes would and could have framed Adam, if indeed it is a frame-up. However, Victor is being very tight lipped and insists he couldn’t have done it from in prison. That’s clearly not true. But since Victor saved Adam from jail before, would he put him back there now? Victor did vow vengeance on all his traitorous kids so the Adam set-up could be stage one of a revenge plan.
#2 Luca Santori (Miles G Villanueva)
Luca desperately wants to be a Newman but seducing Summer Newman (Hunter King) may not be enough. Luca wants to be a son to The Mustache so getting golden boy Adam out of the way could get him closer to cozying up to Victor. Luca is sneaky enough, mercenary enough, and wealthy enough to pull this off. Luca could have bribed someone to fake the diary and autopsy results, so it’s feasible.
#3 Ian Ward (Ray Wise)
Adam has gone to Ian for help sorting this out, but Ian may have been the one to frame him. After all, Adam screwed Ian over on Paragon and then left him to die a horrible fiery death in the Newman Tower blaze. Can’t Adam see that Ian has as much motive as Victor to see him behind bars? Ian has a network of cult members that he could influence plus money of his own to make this happen.
#4 Shawn Taylor (Devon Martinez)
The pregnant teen may have no motive to go after Adam, but might have been working for someone. Ian has history influencing young women or she could have been bribed. The adoption thing could have been a fake-out to place Shawn close to Sage then the break-in could have been staged to get an invitation to move in and access Sage’s journal. Shawn clearly had the opportunity to put this in motion.
